This game was developed using a combination of Unreal Engine’s Blueprints and C++. Its visual style follows the recent trend of “HD 2D Games.” The game features two modes: Story Mode and Campaign Mode.In Story Mode, I implemented a split-screen rendering system that offers more flexibility than the one used in It Takes Two. For the Campaign Mode, I used material-based volumetric fog instead of the more commonly used Niagara particles.The development process includes a complete game pipeline: shader compilation before the game starts, asynchronous loading during level transitions, and a polished flow throughout. There's even an Easter egg level, which includes a mini-game hidden within the main game.Aside from a few assets sourced from the open-source community and licensed materials (with voice acting provided by my friends), the rest of the programming, art, story, and level design were done entirely by me.
